The second stage of the Cape Crushing interim tonnes project was to install a primary crushing station and overland conveyor circuit parallel with the stage 1 plant.

Process 26 was engaged to complete the design, procurement and construction of these works which required a purpose built 2500tph overland conveyor system which integrated with the existing Rio Tinto Iron Ore Nammuldi operations.  

The overland conveyor was designed for the future integration of the stage 1 primary crushing station.  The system include the installation of a tramp metal magnet and gantry system, and a trade quality belt weighing system.  The works also included the installation of a free issued primary crushing station and sea container ROM wall.  

Our scope of works included all civil, structural , mechanicals and electrical activities including the supply and installation of a new motor control centre.
